The Recalibration Course
The Recalibration Course is a 78-hour, narration-therapy based program designed to help people understand how their life experiences have shaped the way they think, feel, and make decisions, often without realizing it.
From early childhood through adulthood, our experiences layer on top of one another. Over time, unprocessed trauma, moral injury, and life events can quietly influence our emotions, distort our thought patterns, and impact the choices we make. Recalibration creates the space to slow down, look inward, and reconnect those experiences so growth becomes possible.
This course is about reclaiming your internal compass.
Through guided writing prompts, group dialogue, and trauma-informed exploration, participants begin to uncover how past experiences have influenced their present behavior. By bringing these patterns into awareness, individuals learn how to regulate emotions, respond instead of react, and take control of the actions rooted in their thoughts.
At the heart of Recalibration is narration therapy. Participants complete reflective writing prompts and share their narratives within a supportive group setting of 10-15 participants. Through thoughtful, in-depth questioning, the group helps each individual explore their experiences safely and with intention, transforming insight into empowerment.
The Recalibration Course also explores essential themes that shape our inner world, including:
Moral Injury and Moral Dissonance
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Life and Military Trauma
Generational Patterns and Dysfunction
Emotional Intelligence and Self-Awareness
The Impact of Traditional Beliefs Around Masculinity
Somatic Awareness and Trapped Trauma Energy
Trauma-Informed Practices and Coping Tools
Recalibration is not about revisiting the past—it’s about changing how the past lives within you.
This curriculum was co-written in collaboration with a man currently incarcerated, grounding the work in lived experience, honesty, and real-world application. Together, we created a program that meets people where they are and offers a path forward—one rooted in accountability, clarity, and freedom from old patterns.
